Ms. Mary-Clare Mulloy (R.D.H.) (LDH)

Mary-Clare Mulloy started working in Sandycove in March 1986 for Dr. Heavey as his Dental Nurse. She qualified from the Dublin Dental Hospital as a Dental Nurse in 1987 and continued to work in the practice until she went travelling to Australia in 1989.

On returning from Australia a year later she was accepted to Liverpool Dental Hospital where she qualified as a Dental Hygienist in 1991 – winning the Oral B Cup for first place.

She worked as Staff Hygienist in Liverpool Dental Hospital and also in private practice before coming back to Dublin in April 1992.

Mary-Clare returned to Sandycove Dental Care as a Dental Hygienist in March 1994 and has been here since, where she works four days a week. In 1998 she completed a course in Local Anaesthesia which allows her to administer injections to patients who require it.

She really enjoys the relationship she has built up with her patients over the years. She has considerable experience in general practice and also in specialist practices including a Periodontal practice where, as well as her duties as a hygienist, she assisted in implant surgery. She also worked in an Orthodontic practice, dealing with children and teenagers.

Mary-Clare enjoys keeping fit and active; her hobbies include running, walking/hiking with her dog. She has completed a number of sprint triathlons and ran the Berlin Marathon in 2009 – coming in at a very respectable time.
